Talking Teachers

Following on from the successful launch of the LCEBA Business Club at Deutsche Bank in March, the LCEBA Business Club has teamed up with KPMG to hold a one-day workshop bringing together teachers and businesses at KPMG's Salisbury Square offices on 15 th July.

The aim of the Workshop Day was to bring together and encourage a dialogue between schools and businesses in support of education business link activity in the capital. Focusing on identifying the requirements of schools, the event addressed how business can support local education in light of the work-related learning curriculum.

Issues such as communication, how to add value to existing programmes and new initiatives from Government and Education Business Link Organisations, were addressed by the group through facilitated workshops and talks from guest speakers including Tony Halston from DfES, Ian Barlow from KPMG, John Peacock from the Enterprise Advisor Service and Katie Cherry from KPMG.

Regular events are planned over the coming year with the next event to be held in the Autumn term. If you would like to join the LCEBA Business Club please complete the online registration form on the Business Club page of the LCEBA website or alternatively contact Kevin Williamson.
