LCEBA launch their Work Related Learning Service
Building on the success of our e-mentoring programme and a successful pilot programme, we are now launching our Work Related Learning Service. This service provides students with the opportunity to have short, focused dialogues via e-mail with business experts.
The service uses existing, trained e-mentors, who have been CRB checked. All correspondence goes through the e-mentoring software, which has been refined for this purpose. The software provides the foundation of the child protection measures.
The dialogue, which we are calling SMART-mentoring, lasts no longer than three weeks and allows students to gather first hand, insightful information and guidance through a one to one correspondence with a business expert.
It is anticipated that this service will greatly enhance the careers guidance available to students and provide a mechanism through which schools can deliver the nine elements of work related learning identified by QCA.
