Interview Skills for Wandsworth Pupils
Business volunteers from across London are needed to help Year 10 students from Wandsworth learn about the process of applying for jobs and practising their job interview skills. Students from 6/8 secondary schools in Wandsworth are taking part in an Interview Skills Day at Wandsworth Civic Centre on Thursday 17 March organised by Wandsworth BEST.
The young people will spend the morning sessions working on their CVs, looking at job application forms and learning about the kind of skills they will need to employ when attending job interviews. During the afternoon session the students will be matched with a local business volunteer to take part in a mock job interview, with the volunteer acting as the employer and the student as the job applicant. Students will be provided with written feedback on their performance during the interview that they can then use to refer back to when they are being interviewed for real.
For further information on how you can get involved with the Interview Skills Day please contact Jennifer Gonzales at Wandsworth BEST on 020 8871 8630 or email jgonzales@wandsworth.gov.uk
