McDonald’s Food Technology Day
On Monday 9th May 2005,McDonald’s Restaurants in partnership with the Federation of Education Business Link Consortia and the London Central Education Business Alliance, hosted a Food Technology Day at the Covent Garden offices of the HPI Research Group McDonald’s Restaurant on the Strand for Central London teachers.
The programme was prepared by specialists inside McDonald’s, the British Nutrition Foundation and Food Technology teachers and advisors. The day involved a mixture of theory and practice focusing on the issues of food safety, quality assurance and new product development; plus a tour of the restaurant. Each teacher who attended received a purpose-made CD-ROM, which included presentations from the day and substantial food technology information to support classroom delivery of the Food Technology curriculum in secondary schools.
