Musically Talented and Business-Minded

Watch out Simon Fuller, a group of gifted and talented students in Maida Vale are ready to give you a run for your money!

Around 50 students from St George's RC School have set up a Young Enterprise record company called Unlimited Culture. The company will be producing a CD and video/DVD featuring musical talent from pupils at the school.

This isn't just a make-believe company though, the students have to put together a business plan and have even formed a Board of Directors. Professional Business Advisers have volunteers to assist the achievers throughout the project offering business guidance and advice.

The project is being led by Young Enterprise in partnership with Westminster Community Partnerships and is the first global Young Enterprise Project in Central London. Once the CD has been produced the students will link up via video conferencing with students in Mississauga, a suburb of Toronto, also running their own company through Young Enterprise's sister company, Junior Achievement.

Young Enterprise Development Manager Jitty Marwaha said "This is a really exciting project for everyone involved. By linking up with John Cabot Catholic School in Canada the students will be able to share their experiences and pick up a few pointers for future projects."

The CD "Hear DAT Voice" will be available soon from St George's School.
